Although it isn’t quite spring here in the desert, I took some time during my hike to look a little closer at some of the the ways that Nature is preparing. It’s always an interesting experience to see some of these things in their more sublte and less obvious foms–their beginngings.

The flowers aren’t in full bloom, but they’re appearing here and there–kind of like the way stars begin to show up in the evening–one, then two, than millions. As I hiked, I tried to pay special attention to even the smallest of the young plants or flower buds that were appearing, and I began to get more of a sense of just how busy Nature is right now.

There is so much movement among all the stillness. It’s definitely worth spending a little time with it all.
