I spent time walking alongside this river, listening to its sounds and watching all the new spring growth that’s happening here in this tiny corner of Alaska.

From video:
“It wasn’t long ago that I wondered if Spring would ever be here. Even now, there are places where it still seems that way. But there are other places where the leaves are beginning to unfold. Small plants are emerging from their hiding places. There is water flowing. There is movement. There is life. Seeing what I see now, I don’t know why I ever doubted.

I suppose life has seasons like this–times where it’s easy to doubt that there will ever be light, warmth, or new growth–but those things do come. Sometimes only in ways so subtle that if I’m not watching, I miss it.”
